The **Insurance** tab records how a child's services are covered. Choose one of
three options, then fill in the details. Like the rest of the record, it saves
as you go.

## The three options [#the-three-options]

* **Medicaid** — enter the Medicaid ID and upload proof of coverage.
* **Commercial** — enter the carrier, member ID, policy holder, and group number, and upload proof of coverage.
* **None** — upload a declination form showing the family has no coverage.

A badge shows whether insurance is **Documented** or **Not documented**, so you
can tell at a glance what is still outstanding.
