Open **Notes** on the child record for the child's internal documentation
chronology. Notes are separate from delivered services and system activity.

* Search note text within the current child record.
* Filter by author, effective date, or removed status.
* Use the child record's **Create** control, then choose **New case note**.
* Reply once beneath a root note when staff coordination needs context.

Each root entry shows its author and effective date first. A note may be dated
today or backdated to the documentation date. When the effective date differs
from the recorded timestamp, both appear. Replies retain their recorded time.

This is not a session note and not a billable service-coordination contact.
Those stay in **Activity** with sessions, coordination, and meetings. System
changes stay in **Case history**.

Administrators may export an oldest-first, numbered PDF packet from the Notes
overflow menu. The packet includes replies, recorded/edited metadata, source
provenance, and page numbers.
