Members and roles
See who can sign in. Invite by email. Choose each person's role.
There is one Member roster. Open Members in the rail.
A Member is a person who can sign in to this Agency. A Directory Contact is a directory identity. It is not a login. An Invitation by email is the only way to seat a new Member.
Roles
A person's role sets what they can see and do.
- Owner — the highest Agency role. Creating the Agency makes the creator its Owner. An Owner can do everything an Admin can, and is the only role that can assign, demote, or remove Owners. Keep at least one Owner.
- Admin — can invite and manage ordinary Members, change Agency settings, read every child, and manage billing. An Admin cannot assign, demote, or remove Owners.
- Member — works their assigned children.
- Billing manager — adds access to claims, remittances, and payer setup.
There is no Guest role.
The roster
Owner and Admin see Invite as the primary action. They send an Invitation by email and pick Admin, Member, or Billing manager. Until the person accepts, they can resend or revoke the Invitation.
Staff see the same roster without Invite.
Settings → Members is a door to this roster. It is not a second list.
On the same roster, Owner and Admin can change a role and remove a Member. Each change names the person, the Agency, and the effect. The roster explains Owner, Admin, and Member. Only an Owner can change an Owner's role. The last Owner cannot leave until another Owner exists. A solo Agency can keep working while a second Owner is recommended.
Members can leave the Agency from their own row.
Removing a Member signs them out of this Agency right away. Their other Agencies stay signed in. Every change is recorded in the audit log.
